Why are we donating a portion of proceeds from each sale to breast cancer research?

In 2009 approximately 192,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed among women in the US and 40,170 women will die from causes directly related to breast cancer.  The development of new cures and treatments is of enormous importance and requires contributions from communities, companies, and individuals.  We feel this is an important issue and want to spread the word about its importance and the need to actively support the search for new cures.

How is your donation campaign structured?

Starting in 2010 and annually thereafter AktaDerm will donate 5% of all profits to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

How can I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved.  The simplest and most effective way is to talk to other people about breast cancer and to share your views.  Get them involved.  Contact your favorite charity to find out about programs to support breast cancer research and take your friends along.  By educating others on this important problem you are helping to do your part.  It’s that simple.
